Moneybox Motion Guidelines

Brand Guidelines

Brief

After going through a complete rebrand Moneybox needed updated motion guidelines that would help highlight the new brand strategy. Part of this work was to bring together for the first time the motion work for the app and the wider marketing content.

Outcome

Working closely with the Head of Brand and Creative and the other motion designers on the team I developed motion principles and a key behavior to make the brand move consistently throughout all its platforms.

Principles

These were the building blocks for motion across the whole identity and product.

Type

An important aspect of this work was creating a type movement that was not only rooted in the behavior but also felt distinct. Anchored in growth we created a type movement that communicates trust and possibility.

Texture

Texture was a key part of this new identity. The guidelines cover how to make the texture move in its main usage in backgrounds and illustrations.

UI/UX Principles

As Moneybox as grown considerably in the last couple of years it was crucial to create a set of principles to make sure motion use across the product remained consistent. These aimed to outline what brand should feel like when in the app.

Animating the wordmark

Before the guidelines began I was also tasked with animating the wordmark alongside the already animated icon. The outcome was a wordmark that continued the movement of progression and possibility of the icon.
